:microscope: New: Research by Turns

You can now tech by turns instead of points!

By default, the Research page asks you to enter the number of tech points to develop in each branch. If you’d rather think in turns, there’s now a toggle for it.

How to turn it on: Go to Menu → Preferences and check “Research by turns.”

What changes:

  • The Develop column now accepts turns instead of points.

  • Enter 10 and it spends 10 turns of research in that branch — no more doing the points math in your head.

  • Each input is capped at your available turns, and a hint shows how many points one turn buys (your Tech Per Turn).

The result is identical — you research the exact same amount of tech either way. It’s purely a different way to enter your order. Prefer points? Just leave the toggle off; nothing changes.

Toggle it on, off, or switch mid-order anytime — your entered values are preserved.
